The Biggest Challenges Amazon Sellers Face

Selling on Amazon can be lucrative, but being successful doesn’t come without some universal challenges.

Every seller, no matter if they start with ten products or a hundred, must conquer these challenges in order to make money.

Unfortunately, far too many sellers never make it to the finish line. The three challenges below are the most commonly faced hurdles for Amazon sellers.

Standing Out in the Crowd

Since 2017, around 3,700 new sellers register on Amazon daily. That is an unbelievable amount of competition.

When you think about the fact that most sellers are selling a lot more than one product, it becomes evident that the amount of items for sale on Amazon is almost unfathomable.

With this level of competition on the website, it’s no surprise that getting your listings seen will be the biggest challenge you face as a seller on Amazon.

Listing Issues

With the number of products for sale on Amazon, it may seem that it’s easy to list products for sale but this isn’t the case.

Amazon has an extremely strict and, quite frankly, a complicated algorithm for listing products.

The listings require so much information and if you miss anything, there is a good chance your product won’t show up for sale.

Trying to list products without some help, especially a lot of them, could be a costly mistake for your business.

Getting Great Reviews

Let’s face it – you can have the best product in the world but if you don’t have great reviews it might be a dead fish in the water. It’s a catch-22 situation – you need good reviews to sell products, but you need to sell products in order to get reviews.

There is no real solution to this problem other than time. However, there are a few ways to get reviews faster (spoiler alert: SixLeaf is one of those ways).

The three hurdles above are hard to overcome, but the good news is that there is help. Research-based software like SixLeaf has plenty of tools to get your products in front of the right shoppers.

Keep reading to find out about some of these tools.

Phoenix by SixLeaf: Powered by RISE

Phoenix is an industry-leading research-based software that is designed for Amazon sellers.

However, it’s so much more than a research tool. It’s an action tool, meaning it’s going to get your products flying off the shelves.

It’s an excellent software that I would recommend to anyone. Below are some pros and cons, then the next section will list out some of the best features of the software.

SixLeaf Review 01

SixLeaf Pros:

  • They offer a 7-day free trial.
  • There are three pricing options to fit any budget.
  • You can get the Amazon Choice badge displayed on your listings.

SixLeaf Cons:

  • You must contact customer service to cancel your trial.
  • Most of the important features are separate add-ons rather than being all in one package.

The Best Features of Phoenix

The software offered by SixLeaf is actually a layered software – Phoenix is only one part of it. The company offers three different subscription prices.

At the time of this writing, the basic subscription, called the Acorn subscription, is $47 per month.

The middle subscrition, the Oak subscription is $97 per month. The premium subscription, the Redwood subscription is $147 per month.

The Acorn Monthly Subscription

This is the basic (budget) package. Despite the low price, it still has a lot of great features that will help you manage and improve your business.

One of the most important features in this package is Lynx, an exclusive program. This is a link shortening solution that also offers redirection of links.

The purpose of this program is to increase click-through rates (CTR) and decrease the amount of your cost-per-click (CPC) advertising campaigns.

By doing this, you’ll spend less on advertising while getting an improved advertising efficiency.

Guard is another exclusive program in the software. It is an inventory protection program that keeps your competitors from spying on your inventory.

It also prevents coupon fraud and unintentional stocking out of your products.

The Acorn subscription comes with two Chrome extensions: Phoenix and Mass Review Request, two exclusive features of SixLeaf.

In my opinion, Phoenix is the meat and potatoes of the subscription. It’s what allows you to do product research on individual ASINS.

It also uses a real-time integrated sales engine (RISE) that accurately estimates sales.

Mass Review Request is exactly what it sounds like – a way to automate your review requests.

This is extremely important since every positive review makes it easier for your products to fly off the shelf.

The Oak Monthly Subscription

This subscription allows you to link two seller accounts. It comes with everything that the Acorn subscription has.

This upgrade gives you access to the exclusive ZonBlast Next, an advanced ranking tool that features campaign management options and automation options.

ZonBlast Next has other attractive options like auto blacklist, rebate management, and the ability to display the Amazon Choice badge near your products.

You’ll also get extra Lynx and Guard features with this plan.

The Redwood Monthly Subscription

You should really only consider this subscription if you have more than two seller accounts. This subscription allows you to control up to four seller accounts.

It has the same features as the Oak subscription. The difference is that you have higher limits on some of the limited features to account for the four seller accounts.

Add-On Features

SixLeaf has a few add-ons that you can consider. These add-ons can also be subscribed to separately.

The first add-on feature isn’t so much of an add-on although it can be added on to the main software.

It’s called ZonBlast Classic (exclusive) and it’s simply an expanded version of the ZonBlast Next feature you get with the Oak subscription.

It includes all the ZonBlast Next features but it’s a more in-depth program that deals with coupons, discounts, ranking, and more.

It’s extremely expensive – around $350 per month – but this program gets your products front and center on the internet.

The second add-on ZonBlast Next. Yes, this is the same program that comes with the Oak subscription and also with ZonBlast Classic.

However, if you want to go the cheaper route with the Acorn subscription, you can simply pay for this limited version of ZonBlast Next by itself. It will cost $2.50 per rebate.

The best part about the SixLeaf software is that it’s customizable.

They have subscriptions for every budget and you can mix and match programs to suit your needs. That makes it a great value.

SixLeaf Alternatives

By far, SixLeaf is one of the best choices out there.

However, you don’t have to only take my word for it. Here are three alternative software products you may be interested in, as well as what makes them different from SixLeaf.

SellerApp 00

SellerApp is a great choice because it has all the right tools you need. It doesn’t have as many options as SixLeaf.

In fact, it doesn’t deal with rebates or coupons and it doesn’t have link shortening options or review request features.

However, they do have quite a few free tools on their website that you can use, even if you don’t sign up for their services.

This product may not have everything that SixLeaf has, but it has the main features that you would need.

At this time, SellerApp is only available in for sellers in the United States and Australia.

SellerApp SixLeaf
  • Price Range: $99/mo – $699/mo
  • Free Trial?: Yes, 7 days
  • Best Features: Product research, product trends, listing optimization
  • B2B Version?: Yes
  • Price Range: $47/mo – $347/mo
  • Free Trial?: Yes, 7 days
  • Best Features: Phoenix, ZonBlast Next
  • B2B Version?: No

Sellics 00

Sellics has three different versions of their software. The first one is for Amazon sellers and it has many of the same features and programs as SixLeaf.

The second version is an Agency edition which is for agents who have multiple Amazon sellers as clients. The third version is a business to business version.

The packages that Sellics offers are widely varied. Each version has several options to choose from and even those options can be customized.

Plus, to make it even better, Sellics offers a 2-week trial and you don’t have to put in a credit card until you’re sure that you want to keep the product.

These types of trials are the best because you don’t have to jump through hoops to cancel them or worry about unwanted charges.

Like SellerApp, there are also some free tools on the Sellics website. However, they aren’t quite as helpful as SellerApp’s.

Sellics SixLeaf
  • Price Range: $49/mo – $399/mo
  • Free Trial?: Yes, 14 days
  • Best Features: Profits Dashboard, PPC Manager, Ranking Optimizer
  • B2B Version?: Yes
  • Price Range: $47/mo – $347/mo
  • Free Trial?: Yes, 7 days
  • Best Features: Phoenix, ZonBlast Next
  • B2B Version?: No

eGrow 00

This is a UK-based company that doesn’t offer as many tools as SixLeaf, but has the right combination of tools to make your Amazon business run more efficiently.

One of the most impressive things I’ve seen with this product is the exact explanations that they offer of each feature.

On the company’s website, they have list out what every feature can do, step-by-step with pictures to show you exactly what you’ll be seeing.

This way, you’ll know exactly whether or not what they offer is what you need.

Egrow offers a free version of the software – a step up from a free trial. The free version doesn’t expire and is only offered in nine countries, but you will only have access to a limited amount of features.

The paid versions are incredibly affordable and offered in 13 countries.

Overall, this software doesn’t offer the same level of features as the others. However, if you’re on a tight budget, this could be a good choice to save you some money.

Egrow SixLeaf
  • Price Range: $0/mo – $40/mo
  • Free Trial?: Yes (free version)
  • Best Features: Live Amazon Scanner, Keyword Research, Rank Tracker
  • B2B Version?: No
  • Price Range: $47/mo – $347/mo
  • Free Trial?: Yes, 7 days
  • Best Features: Phoenix, ZonBlast Next
  • B2B Version?: No

Final Thoughts SixLeaf

There is no doubt that if you want to be a successful seller on Amazon, you need to get some help. SixLeaf is an exceptional product and can be the help that you need.

The software has just about every feature that would come in handy, so it’s an excellent choice.

Compared to others, SixLeaf can get a little pricey, especially for the seller who only has a few products and/or a very small business.

That’s where the other choices can fill in. They are more affordable and still have helpful tools. However, if you can afford SixLeaf, you may as well get all the help you can.
